MIDC has fully developed 231.48 hectares of industrial area in Ambernath and handed it over to Ambernath Municipal Council for further maintenance except the water supply to industries. The area has been developed in various blocks. The blocks have been divided into suitable plots having areas ranging from 500 sq m onwards and have been carved out for small scale units as well as medium and large type of units.
Infrastructure
Water
The Corporation has made its own arrangements for supplying filtered and disinfected water to the units in the area through a 400 mm diameter PSC pipe line. The entire quantity of water is taken from 1,772 mm diameter Barvi Gravity mains. This line comes from Barvi water works at Jambhul. The corporation has laid a network of pipelines in the area ranging from 80 mm to 400 mm diameter pipes. The total requirement of water for this area is 10 mld.
Roads
The corporation has constructed 14 km long roads in the entire area. Most of these roads are asphalted.

Residential Facilities
In Ambernath Industrial Area, residential facilities are available in a residential zone. Ambernath city is about 2 km from this area. One can take up residential facilities there too.
Common Effluent Disposal Facility
MIDC has executed an effluent collection and disposal scheme. All the effluent is collected in 4 sumps of different capacity and pumped through a 400 mm PSC diameter pipe line at Waldhni Nallah, as suggested by the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board. Badlapur Industrial Welfare Association (BIWA) is constructing a common effluent treatment plant (CETP) at the Badlapur Industrial Area.
Fire Station
A Fire station has been constructed by MIDC and handed over to Kulgaon Badlapur Municipal Council.
Electricity
Power supply of 9000 HP has been made available by M.S.E.B.
Support Facilities
State Bank of India has established a branch in the area, for easy transactions in banking services.
A police department has been set up at the police station Schools, colleges, ITI, Polytechnic, etc located in the vicinity will provide educational facilities. Hotels, canteens and shops are located within close proximity of the area. The industrial area is well lit up with street lights.
