Infrastructure
Water
A water scheme has been constructed by MIDC at Waluj. The water is sourced from the Jayakwadi dam on the Godavari river, 23 kms. from Waluj. This scheme is presently supplying 72 mld. of water in the first phase. Raw water is purified according to WHO standards at the water treatment plant within the area.
Roads
Roads within the area are of international standards with the main road being 60 metres wide and internal roads 30 metres wide. All roads have been provided with underground water distribution services. The roads are constructed with technique comprising of water bound macadam, dense bituminous macadam and premix seal surfacing to provide a smooth riding surface.
Connectivity
The department of telecommunications has setup a dedicated electronic telephone exchange with 6,000 lines with optional ISDN facility. The exchange is connected to the main exchange of Aurangabad.
Residential Facilities
An area measuring 223.99 hectares has been developed for residential use. Basic facilities such as power, water, roads, etc. are available in the Residential Zone for use of residents and also for construction use.
Fire Station
A fire station having the facility to house 2 fire tenders with quarters for firemen has been constructed and handed over to Aurangabad Municipal Corporation for operation and maintenance
Truck Terminus And Bus Stop
A Truck terminus of 14,280 sq.mts. has been established and is being managed through public participation.
Electricity
MSEB has set up a dedicated 400 KV Sub-Station to meet the power requirement of the industrial area having a capacity of 630 MVA. Presently 350 MVA load is under utilisation and with surplus load of 280 MVA. MSEB has established a 132 KV outgoing feeder at Waluj having capacity of 100 MVA. 11 KV and 33 KV level power supply as per the requirement is available in the area.
Streetlights
Well designed street lights provided on main as well as internal roads in the Industrial Area are with 150W and 70W HPSV (High Pressure Sodium Vapour) fittings on 11metres and 9 metres high steel tubular poles respectively.
Police Station
A separate building has been constructed for the Police Station. The Police department has also set up their independent police station with a strength of 80 policemen in the Industrial Area.
Bank
State Bank of India, State Bank of Hyderabad, Bank of India ,Central Bank of India and the Nationalized Banks are in operation in the industrial area.
Post Office
A well-established post office is functioning in the area.
Education
There are about 10 schools offering both English and Marathi medium in the Industrial area.
